Truckee Cultural District Mini-Grants for Special Events
Truckee Cultural District is inviting applications from artists and arts organizations / collaboratives seeking support for special events that are aligned with the goals of the Truckee Cultural District.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by a Truckee Cultural District Grants Review Committee until funds are fully expended, or by June 30, 2024, whichever comes first.
If you are awarded a Truckee Cultural District Special Event Mini-Grant, you will be positively growing the visibility of Truckee Cultural District by displaying provided logos, and proper acknowledgements. For reporting / tracking purposes, Truckee Cultural District staff will be requesting audience demographic information if applicable and require written follow up on the success of your event.
Award
These funds are part of the Truckee Cultural District budget for the 2024 fiscal year with a total of $20,000 being granted on a rolling basis by June 30, 2024. Requests can be made for up to $1,000 for artists and $5,000 for arts organizations/collaboratives.

Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2024, and emailed with attachments for consideration. Grants will be awarded based on eligibility, detailed in the application, along with application criteria, funding amounts, application process and review.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply for a Truckee Cultural District Special Event Mini-Grant, the following criteria must be met:
Artists/Organizations/Collaboratives must either live in, work in, or serve the Truckee Cultural District community within Nevada County geographic boundaries.
Applicants must demonstrate a professional track record within Truckee Cultural District. All disciplines are welcome and eligible to apply including but not limited to: actors, choreographers, costumers, craftspeople, curators, dancers, designers, directors, exhibit designers, fabricators, musicians, poets, stage technicians, visual artists, writers and others employed in arts and culture professions as well as arts organizations.
Artists applying must be 18 years of age or older. Organizations / collaboratives may be in service to, or include, youth.
Examples of eligible event requests include: performance or exhibition expenses, artist stipends, marketing expenses, event production expenses.
Funding Restrictions
Total Amount Available for FY23-24 ending June 30, 2024 is $20,000
NOTE: Event funds can be used for event expenses that fall after June 30, 2024.
Applications will be awarded on a rolling basis. Applicants must provide a basic budget with details of how funding will be spent.

Guidelines
A funding match is not required.
Program or project must be completed by June 30, 2025.
A short report on program outcomes and expenditures will be required within one month of completed project.
