The prediction was further north but I went out anyway. Around 10:30pm I arrived at Prosser and noticed the green glow on the horizon. It was starting. The crescent moon was setting at the same time and I knew it was going to get better as the sky got darker....

Prosser Reservoir, Truckee (Continued). Later in the night, the moon set and the sky really started to go off. I couldn't believe how good it was. I got closer to the water to capture the reflection. I chose this spot particularly because the northern view was expansive and I think it may have been the best for viewing the auroroa with minimal light pollution.
