Youth Visions of Tomorrow

City Hall Art Meets the Public (CHAMP) Gallery is a new exhibition space within the entryway halls of City Hall on Broad Street in Nevada City, CA. The Nevada City Public Arts Commission and CHAMP Gallery are seeking submissions for the next exhibition, focused on showcasing local youth art work.

Artists are encouraged to submit pieces that address a broad interpretation of the theme of "Youth Visions of Tomorrow". A showcase of young artists envisioning Nevada City’s and California’s values and future—environmentally, socially, and culturally. Why Now? With youth activism at an all-time high on issues like climate change, education reform, and mental health, this exhibit gives youth a platform.

Artists can submit multiple pieces for consideration in several different categories including 2-D paintings, prints, collages, mixed media, photography, and panels. Pieces can be for sale and an artist's contact info and price will be displayed next to the piece if desired. This is open to Nevada County youth 24 and under.

The submission deadline has been extended and will close May 1, 2025 at midnight. Exhibit is installed May 12 and on display
