The City of Chico has been awarded a grant through Caltrans Clean California Local Grant Program. The program is geared towards beautifying and cleaning up local streets and roads, tribal lands, parks, pathways, transit centers, and other public spaces. 

The City is looking to select a qualified artist to create and install structural artwork, to be freestanding and located at Park Avenue between Myers and 20th Street, Chico CA. The artwork will be replacing “The Silver Plow” that was placed at the above location in 2001. Artwork is to be completed by July 2025.

The City is interested in obtaining a proposal from qualified artists, who reside in California, to createand install the art piece. All proposed artworks should adhere to the following standards outlined in the RFP.
